The criminal use of Go-Fast vessels continues to present a security challenge to Europe notably in the context of drug trafficking and other cross-border illicit trafficking and smuggling. With this criminal method tons of illicit drugs, other illicit goods as well as people are smuggled to Europe severely impacting the lives, health and security of European citizens as well as persons being trafficked or trying to stop these practices. Addressing this threat requires a concerted European action as prioritised in the EU Action Plan against Drug Trafficking.
We warmly invite you to take part in our joint efforts and to attend the EU workshop on the European approach against the criminal use of Go-Fast vessels which will take place on 16 November 2026 in Brussels.
The workshop is a stepping stone for future joint actions and measures and provides you an opportunity to exchange experiences, identify operational, legal, cooperation and technical challenges and possibilities, and to discuss possible ways forward to strengthen the EU response.
